All players listed below were hand picked by Pastime’s Tier 1 scouts who spend all weekend identifying talent amongst every tournament labeled “All Scout”. Each player that is labeled as a top player of the weekend will receive an invite to the All Scout Championship individual event in August.

Brendan Garza (Peak Select 16U, 2024, SS): Good quick/compact swing, knows how to get his hands to the ball, looks very calm in the box w a balanced stance, very smooth load to launch. 2 out RBI oppo single and a double off the wall in the same game. FB up to 86. “Best player I’ve seen all year”. 4.88 time to first. Smooth at SS, always on toes.
Logan McLaughlin (Hawks Gold, 2023, SS/RHP): A big and tall athletic right handed pitcher. He was dominate on the mound with smooth mechanics that produced a heavy 83-85 mph fastball. Was able to have high command with his changeup and slider which he ran up to 76 mph. Showed plus athleticism at the plate with a smooth, fundamentally sound swing that he was able to use to hit the ball the other way. Showed off plus speed for his size by running out a ground ball for a hit.
Easton Storey (Hawks Gold, 2023, LHP): Storey was one of the harder throwing left handed pitchers over the weekend topping out at 87 mph. A smooth and effortless delivery combined with an athletic body with room to grow, there is a lot of projectability here.
Connor Prahl (Legacy, 2023, 3B/C): One of the better players over the weekend, Prahl has a rare 6-3 athletic strong body who showed plus power and contact with ability to hit to all fields. Possesses an effortless swing that produces big pop. Behind the plate showed off a 2.0-2.2 pop time with good footwork.
JR Morrow (Hawks Gold, 2023, SS): One of the better players over the weekend, Morrow showed out both defensively and offensively. As a catcher, showed off a strong arm with a back pick to second from his knees for an out. Fundamentally strong in the categories of blocking and throwing. At the plate he has a balanced stance with ability to be patient with aggressive hands where he can drive the ball to all fields.

Underdeveloped physically with high upside, Gavin is a plus athlete who competes in the box to put balls in play. On the mound, used his lower half to throw smooth mid 70s fastballs. |

At the plate showed a fast flat bat through the zone which allows him to hit the other way with power. Had a few multiple hit games over the weekend. On the mound, he showed high command keeping the ball low in the zone with his fastball and curveball. It is clear to see that he is composed on the mound with good mechanics. |

Smaller physically, but works extremely hard for his pitchers and his team. Batting from the left side, JP gets down the line quick and has a high level swing that finds a lot of barrels. |

Uses sneaky athleticism to stay balanced and in his legs with quick hips that fire hands through zone. Showed fight at the plate with a 10 pitch triple. |
Cole | Gebben | Bulldogs 16u | 2023 | Cole is a fun pitcher to watch with clear projectability. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with whippy action to create natural arm side movement on fastball. Running his fast ball up to 85, he also can keep good arm speed for a high 60s curveball that he can locate well. Apart from that, Cole suprised hitters with a knuckleball that he could locate low and over the plate. | |
